It’s often said, “Fostering or adopting one child might not change the world, but for that child, the world will change.” I disagree. Caring for one child WILL and DOES change the world. The generational (and eternal) ripple effects are far more than we could possibly measure.

Knowingly or unknowingly, the amount of grief and anxiety our souls are wrestling with cannot be overstated. There’s been too many let downs, disappointments and pings of sadness to not go unaffected. Give yourself some grace to not function at 100% capacity right now.

Literally can’t believe how rude, confused and unhelpful everyone we’ve spoken to @GreyhoundBus has been. They’ve given misinformation, charged us for it and are unwilling to make it right. Trying to get a girl and her kids out of a bad situation. Greyhound has made it worse.

A lot of your questions about fostering are only answered through proximity. The closer you get the more you see and the clearer things become. Serve a family, go to orientation, attend an info meeting...just find a way to move closer - and watch what happens. #fostercare
