I Have been masturbating for over 10yrs now

and have tried everything ready books, prayed, fasted but yet nothing

but the very moment i confess God's word out loudly i noticed anytime the thought of masturbating comes i don't go into it

but am still trusting God for total liberation they're days i fall to masturbating

but indeed i can say boldly it is not as bad as it was few years ago i could literally spend 24hrs in the house and in that 24hrs i can masturbate over 10 times.

I noticed during that period i had low self esteem, was always waiting for a me alone time to just masturbate if i don't my body shakes

but thank God for growth addiction is dying, the urge is leaving completely.

I was this close to m@sturbating last month.

Let me tell you exactly what happened.

I was on my phone, trying to catch up on social media then a thought dropped in my mind “why don’t you touch yourself?”

I heard that thought loud and clear.

And to be honest, I considered doing it for the first ten seconds but not long after, the scripture “your body is the temple of God” dropped in my spirit.

I immediately started confessing the words loudly, not in my thoughts but out loud.

Because someone once said, you dont battle thoughts with thoughts, you battle it with words.

So I raised my voice and repeated that scripture over and again until that thought was brought under captivity—was silenced.

I totally understand that urge to do it. Ive been there a couple times.

But guess what? Christ nailed that urge to the cross. He said it is finished.

M@sturbation has no hold or control over you. Those thoughts are not yours and they hold no claim over your life.
