Bolt up ⚡️

[Jack @_jbun17]

Just read TE/FB Scott Matlock is on IR. Don’t mind this, although I’m fully aware I’m in the minority on this regarding the broader #chargers community. #boltup

And although he’s not beloved by my fellow #chargers fans, kinda surprised TE/FB Scott Matlock didn’t make the initial 53 over Penning/Harkey. Seems to be Harbaugh’s guy. Also wouldn’t be shocked if he’s on the practice squad tomorrow. #boltup

#chargers initial 53 man thoughts: not many surprises considering some of the leaked info. I expect OL Alex Harkey and OL Trevor Penning to be on the practice squad once we resign Punter JK Scott and OL Branson Taylor is back from IR. Expect a move for a corner sometime this szn

Waiting for the #chargers to drop their initial 53 man roster. Meanwhile I’m curious to see with the trade of DT TeRah Edwards to Carolina, do the chargers sign DT Mazi Smith to the practice squad to be reunited with DL coach Mike Elston? Has traits worth talking a flier#boltup

[Jack @_jbun17]

I’m now mildly concerned about dicker the kicker. Praying he’s just trying new techniques #chargers

[Jack @_jbun17]

Two initial thoughts on the #Chargers schedule. Brutal 7 game stretch in the middle of the season. Have to go at least 4-3 so feel good about being a contender. Weather mostly a non factor, week 18 at Denver which could be for the division. #boltup

Early #Chargers prediction based on the schedule release: 12-5 with losses to the Bills, Chiefs, Rams, Bucs and Broncos

[Jack @_jbun17]

With the draft now over, here’s some UDFA’s I’d like the #chargers to target

RB Jaydn Ott
TE John Michael Gyllenborg
LB Lander Barton
ED Anthony Lucas
CB Latrell McCutchin Sr

Initial reaction to the #chargers 2026 draft. Grade: B. Definitely drafted needs and created competition at multiple spots. However, would’ve of like some different players at certain spots. Congrats to all players drafted and welcome to the #Boltfam!

[Jack @_jbun17]

#Chargers select OG Alex Harkey with the 206th pick. This was unnecessary and seems short sighted. Would’ve liked to see another db or offensive weapon here. Grade: F

[Jack @_jbun17]

#Chargers select OG Logan Taylor with the 202nd pick. Some competition for Cole Strange at RG it seems. Would like to see them draft a TE3. Grade: B

[Jack @_jbun17]

#Chargers select DT Nick Barrett with the 145 pick. Bolsters DL depth, solid compliment to Tomlinson, Tart, Eboigbe and Caldwell. Grade: B+

[Jack @_jbun17]

#Chargers select S Genesis Smith with the 131st pick. Boom or bust potential but the ceiling is high. Would’ve preferred a few other dbs here but I understand the logic. Grade: B

[Jack @_jbun17]

#Chargers take OT Travis Burke with the 117 pick. Great pick! Development swing tackle who is Jim Harbaugh’s type of lineman. Grade: A

[Jack @_jbun17]

WR Brenen Thompson for the #chargers pick 105 is for Mike McDonald. Don’t like it. Grade: C

[Jack @_jbun17]

A few players on Day 3 I’d like to see for the #Chargers

DT Darrell Jackson Jr
WR Colbie Young
TE Dallen Bentley
S Kamari Ramsey
OT Isaiah World
CB Domani Jackson
RB Adam Randall

[Jack @_jbun17]

Before Day 3 begins, I’d like to quickly recap the #chargers 2nd round pick Jake Slaughter. I understand fans concerns about not drafting a true guard on day 2. However, I like it. Gives IOL flexibility and can potentially be the starting center post Biadasz. #Boltup

[Jack @_jbun17]

The #chargers take Akheem Mesidor with 22nd pick from Miami. Does fill a need, though wish they took a younger edge prospect like Faulk or Parker. He’s already 25 which is older than Tuli. Clearly this signals we are win now. Grade: B-

ON THE CLOCK #chargers
