putting on a trade is not difficult
anyone can open the charts, place a trade without intent, and close it prematurely
it takes no skill
waiting patiently for a setup
following a defined plan
managing the trade properly
doing it all again consistently
that is difficult
repeatedly applying a system,
without your emotions getting in the way
not just for one day
not just when you feel like it
not just when the charts are clear
every single time you enter the market, without excuse
that is what makes you a trader
you make these decisions because they are necessary, not because they are easy
Blew these today
2 months no revenge/tilt trading came to an end today
1 slightly over sized loss is all it took
Still 500% ROI YTD with props
Time to rinse and repeat
Update:
I blew the original 5 fundeds the first week of the year.
Since then I've passed 5 @Tradeify $50k select accounts. All are sitting at $600 in profit after 6 trading days.
Plan is to continue risking $100-$200 per trade.
Trading NQ, ES and YM using @TTrades_edu TTFM continuations on the 4h/15m and the 1h/5m time frames.
Will post more updates to follow; I've shifted away from daily recaps and posting every trade as I noticed it was adding extra pressure on myself.
If you’re a Seahawks fan this SB run has to be one of the most satisfying from a fan’s POV right? You beat your two biggest division rivals to get to the Super Bowl then you got your lick back for the Malcolm Butler INT
Today has been the biggest mental battle for me in a long time.
Took back to back Ls during Asia last night. Both longs, YM and NQ. Price hits my draw during NY and Im sitting at -$400 on each acc.
Jumped in a couple times during NY AM sessions just to finish the session breakeven.
Today stings, but being down 2R is much easier to mange then 5 blown accounts, which is where I usually would have been ended a day like today in the past.
NQ- Got onside too early in this H4 c3 continuation, didn't wait for the 15m candle closure to confirm the wick low of c3 or a new internal protected swing, which lead to the stop out.
YM- Took the same trade on YM as the 15 CISD'd after NQ did not, was stopped at as YM retraced deeper into the previous range before making its new internal protected swing.
