Kansas City and St. Louis are the obvious NBA expansion or relocation candidates, but Louisville feels like the sleeper. It was once considered a serious option before Rick Pitino reportedly opposed bringing a franchise to the city. The other thing people overlook is the market itself. An NBA team wouldn’t just draw from Louisville, but would pull fans from across Kentucky, along with parts of southern Indiana and southwest Ohio, giving it a much larger regional footprint than people realize.

Salvador Perez would currently have 397 career home runs if he played his games in Cincinnati's ballpark, just since 2016. 377 in Philadelphia. Salvy hit his 318 in spite of Kauffman's anti-HR dimensions. Covid removing 102 games in his power prime also cost him 20+ HR. #Royals
