for bts not to submit one of their biggest albums to the grammys this year is huge and i respect them for that. so much was poured into arirang and its message and i feel like it wouldn’t sit right with bts at all especially with the new category the grammys put out

[luna⁷ @tetebbi]

the fact arirang was so much bigger than any of their albums still they decided to not submit it to the grammys bc they cant allow someone to limit their music to a category

this clearly shows how bts see music as an art rather than as something that just sells

[chippp11 @janeishere25]

@btsdaily77 @gol3naotc Music should transcend language and race. If the grammys can’t offer a fair stage without boxing artists into categories, then walking away is the right choice. Respect bts for choosing music over validation. Their music belongs to the world-not to racist labels. 💜

@btsdaily77 Oh THIS IS THE BIGGEST STATEMENT against that fkn racist category they suddenly invented right when BTS did their massive comeback! They knew they’re gonna have to give them an award and decided to make that shitty category! I’m si fkn proud of our boys!!!!!!
