@joelaf Did anyone at all mention co-op housing? It kind of astounds me that density is treated as something separate from other forms of planning. I’m not against the change, just sad it’s not part of a comprehensive plan. We saw what densification does and it isn’t a cure on its own.

@TheTyee Old cons of the past were today’s liberals (Lougheed). Alberta is a victim of what happened with us/can cons in 80s and recent far right wins. We are primed for propaganda we need AB’s image to reflect progressive urban center reality the urban/rural split is immense and severe.

@DrAmyPsyD This is what was taught in Catholic school - but more so oh you’ll learn this when the time comes when you’re married. That was 2005 so not even that long ago. Needless to say there was at least one teen pregnancy I remember. Can’t believe even condoms were not promoted.

I’ve found in marda loop many affordable apartments are totally gone now and on their way out with no requirements for cheaper option

@jamierosscgy @CWalcottYYC I have seen so much infill and condo construction in the inner city, so this article seems a bit out of touch with what’s happening on the ground. What we need is housing co-ops, not private housing, however I rarely see it mentioned.

Got hung up on by a supposed @RogersHelps rep that wanted to migrate my shaw # because I wouldn’t give two pieces of ID over the phone. How do I know it is legit when scammers can fake caller ID? If it’s real it’s extremely poor service and we shouldn’t be credit checked. #yyc
