1-5 vs the Nats and Rockies on the heels of a 12 game losing streak.
No jobs lost.
No hot seat.
“These guys are gonna turn it around” “there’s no excuses we got to be better”
“I believe in these guys”
I underrated the Vikings, but Sam Darnold also started 3-0 with the Panthers in 2021. They will regress.
As for Malik Willis, Ryan Leaf & JaMarcus Russell also had good games. He still stinks.

MASTERCLASS, KING OF HIS CRAFT
Kinda insane, but I had forgotten about this: Duke's loss to UConn ends the previously 4-for-4 streak of a team beating Mount St. Mary's in the Round of 64 one year and winning the title the next.
Duke could have just held the ball there.
Duke could have thrown it long.
Duke could have called a timeout.
Duke could have dribbled away from pressure as 10 seconds wasn't applicable.
Instead? They were careless. And it ended a magical season.
Duke's last four losses:
Led by 14 against Houston in the Final Four, lost
Led by 17 against Texas Tech, lost
Led by 13 against UNC, lost
Led by 19 against UConn in the Elite 8, lost
They only lost 4 games in a year, but all of them were from blown leads. Worst way to go out.
Disgusting choke job. Nothing new. Coaching scared and playing scared. We’ve seen it all year and in years past. It’s unacceptable. I am so sick of having to sit through this.
UConn earned that. Down and out until they weren’t.
