AMC reported 3rd Quarter 2025 earnings Wednesday afternoon after the market close. We roared through consensus analyst estimates. We did $1.300 billion in revenue, the Street expected only $1.235. We did $122 million in EBITDA, the Street expected only $96 million.
We reminded all that our complex 3rd quarter refinancing, announced in July, was a major accomplishment and crucial advancement for the company.
Further, we found some real gems in the quarter. Our U.S. market share up to a record level. Contribution per patron up to a record level. Revenue per patron around record levels. Free cash flow improved. And because we have gotten so efficient, our EBITDA was higher in q3 2025 than it was in q3 2019, despite having 31% fewer guests.

Yesterday, I posted that with Moana 2 opening today, along Wicked and Gladiator 2 and other engaging movies still in our theatres, AMC’s popcorn sales in our cinemas would be “through the roof.” That prompted this wonderful meme from @ImTheToasty which was so well done.
In the U.S., AMC just recorded our highest revenues for a pre-Thanksgiving weekend in AMC’s entire 104 year history history. Fully 4.6 million people graced our theatres globally over the 4 days Thursday to Sunday. What a wonderful way to start the holiday moviegoing season!
If you are looking for an endearing comedy this weekend, check out Goodrich. It’s a charming movie and, no, it is not about tires! It stars Michael Keaton and Mila Kunis, and opens at AMC Theatres tomorrow (with sneak previews today).

Social media conspiracy
theories about AMC and Roadside’s movie City of Dreams are such sheer utter nonsense. Needless to say, we only make money when we sell tickets not if we suppress ticket sales. Sometimes the craziest stuff circulates on the internet.
AMC will sell more tickets for City of Dreams than any other movie theatre chain on the planet.
Similar horse manure conspiracy theories circulated last year about AMC and the movie Sound of Freedom. They were completely bogus, and thoroughly debunked.
Some people just regurgitate what others say. But where does all this balderdash start?
In my view, the best theories as to why this happens are:
— Either short sellers and/or others want to trash AMC because they wish us harm, and have a vested interest in trying to hurt us, even if nefariously so.
— Or, some people out there — how can I put this politely — aren’t playing with 52 cards in their deck. #LessThan52CardsInTheirDeck
— Or both.
So many are so excited that Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will open this weekend at AMC Theatres. Directed by Tim Burton — who also directed the original 1988 Beetlejuice movie.
With a style so distinct the adjective ‘Burtonesque’ was coined, Tim Burton has written, directed, and produced numerous iconic films: encompassing cult favorites, box office smashes and inventive adaptations.
