Becoming a Creative Strategist Day 1
I’ve been in organic social media marketing for 7 years now and I’m ready for a new challenge.
If you’re a social media manager, influencer/ content creator, UGC creator, this role might just be great for you as well especially if you love looking at WHY some things perform and don’t.
Lock in, girlies, we’re getting analytical 📊
Today we played a research game called "Crack the Code" in my creative strategy skool and then made a bunch of ads from all the stuff we uncovered and we do fun stuff like this all the time in my community mostly because having more fun = make better ads that perform better, science says this is true, maybe come join us if you want, ok bye. 🤩
The only way to build a big personal brand in 2026 is to have something unique & special to share
This requires being an actually interesting person with a unique perspective or special project you’re working on
But everywhere you look people are just copying the guru that inspired them to start 🤦🏽♀️
When I started I was broke and didn't have or want funding (still don't)
My only way to get the word out about my websites was tell my story on here and on my blog
But if I told a basic normal story nobody would care
So you need something special
Back then I lucked out kinda because doing startups without funding was special (now it's normal) and doing it from your laptop while backpacking was special (now it's normal too) so nobody will care now if you do that
But you can find a modern unique edge to make your story interesting, you can see interesting stories on here go viral every day!
Organic ✨gold to use as inspo for your next batch of ads
This “fight” between a husband and his wife is a brilliant way for him to advertise his landscaping services
Seeing more of these “conflict” driven ads but this is just done so well
It’s such a ridiculous “fight” that’s relatable to married couples. Perfect execution plus they kept showing off his work + personality
Nailed it
Had a major tech company reach out to me for some UGC work. I almost said no
While I do create content for my own biz, I don’t typically create content for brands
But now that I’m becoming a creative strategist I’m thinking let me just do it to experience the UGC briefing process from the other side
Also, top CS’s I look up to like @LaurenLabeled & @DenneyDara have all done UGC at some point
Lauren always says being in the weeds as a creator can only sharpen your skills and I totally agree 💯

@EssixGalaxy@codyplof Sometimes a little too good. I uploaded a static image I was working on and it removed the brand logo from the packaging & changed the font 🤦🏽♀️ I’m sure it’ll get better in a few months but it’s currently overhyped.
The deeper I get into creative strategy, I realise I was just winging it as an organic social media manager
I relied so heavily on my intuition which is great but unpredictable & unsustainable
I also struggled to get good results in unfamiliar territories
Creative strategy gives me a process I can use to get results without relying so heavily on instinct, intuition or familiarity
Should’ve made the switch sooner tbh
@SarahLevinger Consistency as a strategy is so underrated. The amount of data that people who are consistent accumulate beats most “perfect” strategies
@Idan_Frenkel8 I remember hearing about this on a copywriting channel - Copy Squad. Even USP has different kinds of USP like product based, price based, USP. I feel like there’s always more and more levels 😅
"I can't find good creative strategist"
I get these DMs all the time. Even from brand owners doing $1M/month+
Real talk: It's a skill issue.
Good talent exists. They just don't want to work with YOU.
