The hash-bang directive '#!' is actually processed by the kernel: when a file starts with 0x23, 0x21 (which is #!) the kernel will interpret what follows as the path to executable and attempt to run. The message from Dennis Ritchie that introduced '#!' in Research Unix, Jan 1980
@Mrpossidez Books. Physical Paperback books. As the world moves to "everything digital". It's easy to lose sight of what books have always represented. "Ideas painstakingly put down for others to experience". It's hard to grasp this unless you're holding a physical book in your hands.
@Mrpossidez that's probably going to happen with someone else if I happened to be the dead dude. I felt really bad and I felt worse when people in a group chat I was on spent the evening making fun of the whole situation. It's like human life doesn't mean much anymore.
@Mrpossidez Society has definitely desensitised me to violence. A week ago, news went round that a 300L student was killed in his room by armed robbers. I couldn't even process it. I was just like "okay" and I moved on. It's crazy when I think about it and I sometimes wonder....
