@ProfessorStacie It is important to to assess your kids so that you can tell what areas they need to work on. It is also good to have different ways to test them because not all students are able to test to their full ability in the same way.

@ProfessorStacie Every culture holds its own set of values. By being able to have a more diverse classroom, a student will not feel so alone and will be more comfortable. When a child feels safe in an environment this allows their learning to grow.

@ProfessorStacie This makes a teacher learn something every day. As a teacher you will constantly have to be changing the way you present information to students, because they all have different needs that have to be met.

@ProfessorStacie Being a good teacher means accommodating each student and making them feel welcome. I am more of a Guide by the Side and I think that benefits students the most.

@AmandaSelby15 @ProfessorStacie I completely agree. It’s important to remember that you do not really know what a child goes through at home. Since a teacher might be the only positive role model in a students life, it is important to make sure not to take things out on your students.

@ProfessorStacie The most surprising aspect to me was just how much is put on teachers with little resources. Teachers spend the majority of their time working outside of the classroom and often have to use money from their own pockets. #IntroTeach101

@ProfessorStacie #IntroTeach101 I’m worried that the students will feel like they are not learning from my teaching styles. As a new teacher, I won’t know what my students will learn best from, so I worry that they won’t get the concepts I’m teaching.
