We are not “broke” and “burnt out” we’re being robbed and exploited by the parasite class and being told it’s an individual failing and we just need to work harder.
The fact that the head of the Ku Klux Klan can casually do an interview without being arraigned by the FBI for Hate Crimes and Domestic Terrorism is truly a slap in the face to all people of color in America
The thing is, I don’t care.
I don’t care that a single mom bought her kid a cookie, I don’t care that a person working 40 hours a week bought a Sprite with SNAP, I dont care that a person less fortunate than me was able to buy beef instead of chicken.
I DO care, that we are supplementing trillion dollar corporations. Why are we funding private businesses? Why can’t they use their own money?
Theo Von: “Do you think the American Dream is still alive?”
Zohran Mamdani: “It feels like you have to luck out in some big way. In many ways I feel like it’s why a lot of people play the lottery. For many it feels like their only chance. People think they have better odds playing the lottery than making it in their own life. What does that say about the country we live in?”
Wrap this Savannah James shit uppppppp! The kids can’t read. Strait of Hormuz will probably never reopen. Truckers can’t afford gas. There’s a billionaire trying to be the Governor of Georgia. They’re trying to steal a mid-term election and lastly… THE KIDS CANT READ.
there's never been a president with this degree of freedom to fail. everything he touches turns to shit and the media just moves on whenever he decides to
our country has absolutely no system of accountability for white men with political power
Growing up, a hit song crossed demographics whether the genre was your favorite or not. People who don’t primarily listen to country still know Dolly, Shania, Carrie, The Chicks, etc. because they made actual hit records that crossed over. If a song can spend 23 weeks at #1, breaking records that stood for 20+ years, while a huge portion of the public is sincerely saying they’ve never heard it, maybe the conversation isn’t “people hate country.” Maybe @RollingStone should be writing about how streaming-era chart dominance no longer equals cultural dominance because there’s some trickery at play. That’s the real story being avoided. Don’t gaslight us.
I understand the defense mechanism of wanting to be unbothered but it’s not for me. I feel very deeply, I want to talk about how I feel, I want to hear how you feel, I’m not afraid of feelings.
Huey P. Newton said, “I do not expect the white media to create positive Black male images.” A white woman strangled her three children to death, and yet the lone Black male juror who refused to acquit her is now being cast as the problem. She is given context, sympathy, illness, and complexity. He is given suspicion.
She committed the violence, but he becomes the villain for refusing to excuse it.
Here’s something Black folks have long understood, in the United States a Black man does not need to commit violence to be treated violently.
