Some of you that follow me a couple years ago, might remember how obsessed I was with the algorithmic behaviour of NYSE Open to the point I could predict where that first candle or move was going to be into, nothing to do with any ICT concept at all.
MOC is not any different and even if I've talked about it in my community previously, I'm going to start sharing it here as well. Some people is afraid of the volatility of those specific times, when price is just doing 2 things all the time:

-Quickly finishing the delivery of a target that "was too obvious" the whole day but it was always deviating from it through the session.
-Seeking an specific measurement of a zone to start the delivery it was meant to do all the time.

This happens in the opens and closures, but not of every single candle as you've been taught, it happens when 99% of the people is scared of the quick volatile moves: NYSE Open first minutes, EOD/MOC, Daily open move (also news but that's another story). Not every single day, but as long as you understand the context and the narrative is supporting the idea, it will happen 100%. Market is not in a delivery everyday but understanding this, will give you a lot of the cleanest algorithmic moves you'll ever see.

- Monday I caught the shorts right on the Globex open, once we started accumulating in NYAM I was waiting for price to sweep to the upside into the 1H FVG, never happened, that's when I identified it was going to be one of those days where price slowly goes up before market closes then in the NDO we get the sweep then down, opened my phone from the gym and immediately executed, no hesitation. We've been coming from a bearish HTF narrative I've explained in my most recent livestream (watch it if you want to know more details) so target was +200pts lower but didn't expect Asia to deliver straight into it, so I closed in the previous Midnight open level which price struggled to break and waited for re-entry.

- Tuesday, my HTF target was already completed overnight so I only scalped something on my futures accounts, not much expectations for the day, no impotant news, coming from an Asia/London expansion, we just accumulated.

- Wednesday, because of how price didn't deviate much from previous range I wanted to take a swing long EOD aiming for what was going to be the Daily FVG above all this 2 days range, plan was the same, but as soon as I opened the phone price was +500pts in a matter of minutes delivering from that 50% of the zone + $MU earnings (random I guess). This only means something to me: if they didn't wait for the next day to do the bullish move into the bearish POI, next day plan was going to be the same as monday, open, sweep into Daily POI, bearish delivery for the day, it was also Thursday, the most bearish day for NQ backed by data. I took a quick 50pts scalp (check comments for more SS) in the Globex open but I didn't let this one run because I was not expecting a quick delivery again like monday, so I took something and waited for NYAM for the big play. I wanted an overnight curve, one of my favorite patterns to short with a NY manipulation up then down. It happened perfectly.

- Friday, this time I didn't miss the MOC play again, had lower magnets, sometimes POI's become targets if they don't give the entry before reaching the targets (NOTE THIS IN THE DEEPEST OF YOUR MIND), so once I saw price coming back to the 50% of the shift zone right before thee :50 algorithmic behaviour, I said this is the time to go for that pending stuff lower, waited for the tap, got the confirmation on seconds chart and executed immediately, 1 min later, boom, a "random" volatile move.

I'm loving again Mt5 so I'll keep taking some of those plays aside while I'm not in my desk for my futures accounts.
