For context, the man on this post is Kelvin, or rather the name he goes by on Tinder, but his real name will be unraveled soon.

He is the leader of a gang in Obingwa LGA, Aba, Abia State, who kidnaps and terrorizes young and innocent Nigerians. He lures them in, inflicts harm, drugs, and maims his victims.

For context, Kelvin drives a black Lexus IS 250 with red car seats.

The house he operates from is a 6-unit bedroom flat that they use for their operations.

The house has a black gate, is painted ash color with white pillars, and there’s a small pharmacy (chemist) shop just outside the gate.

He also works with Sweetest, whose real name is Bright Prince Okon, with the phone number 09110878860

Kelvin has now deactivated his number from WhatsApp.

The story so far from my DM,

I matched with Sweetest on Tinder sometime last year. We got talking. I only go on Tinder when I’m bored because I’m a very busy person, so there was never any constant communication. I can count on one hand how many people I’ve actually met from the app. I don’t even go out to visit people. Anytime I remember the app exists, I just open it, respond to everyone, and disappear again.

In December, he asked for my number and we started talking more on WhatsApp. His conversations were always sexual, and that stressed me out, so I reduced communication.

One day in December, he called saying he was in Owerri and wanted me to come see him. I declined. That same December, he texted that he wanted us to attend some event in Enugu. I declined again. He finally let it rest. I asked where he lived, and he said Owerri and Aba. I told him that anytime I was in Aba, I’d reach out so we could hang out. He agreed.

We continued talking once in a while. In February, he called again, saying he wanted us to see each other, that he loved me and all that talk. I’m used to that kind of love talk from queer guys, so I just dismissed him. I also don’t like travelling by road, so I used that as an excuse and told him off. He didn’t ask again.

We still kept in contact until March 22nd. I was going to Aba to buy some stuff. I knew I might not finish the same day, and it felt like a good time to finally chill with him since he seemed like a genuine friend by then. From the very beginning, I had already told him clearly that I wasn’t interested in s€x, but if he was cool with us just being friends, we could keep talking.

On the morning of the 22nd, I called him and said I’d be in Aba till the next day, so we could go out that evening. He asked where I’d be staying. I told him a hotel. Like the good friend I thought he was, he started advising me that hotels would be expensive and that if I didn’t mind, I could stay at his place, he had a comfortable house. I told him I’d think about it when I arrived. He then video-called me (the first time we ever did).

While on the call, he talked for a long time, trying to know about my family. I found that weird, so I gave him very limited information. He said he was so happy and that he would take the day off work to show me around Aba. He mentioned he worked at the market. He wanted me to buy something for him on my way, but I explained my financial situation at the time and promised to do it if we ever met again.

While we were still on the call, I suddenly received a 5k alert on my Opay. He said he was the one who sent it. I asked how and why. He said he guessed my account number was my phone number and sent the money to help with hotel bills since I was refusing to stay at his place. For some reason, it felt genuine, so I told him no problem, I’d stay, and that he should send his account number so I could refund the 5k. He said we’d talk about it when I arrived.
