So it's dangerous for China to have the ability to access our data and manipulate us via social media apps.
But it's okay for America's billionaires to have the ability to access our data and manipulate us via social media apps.
Do I have this right?
Americans are frustrated, we have been trying to protest for years, trying to vote and enact change for years, even when rioting for other issues in our own country, and none of us have seen change. We are not our government. They quite literally do not represent us.
‘She should have known’
‘She should have picked better’
If she should have known then shouldn’t everyone have known? Shouldn’t his friends have known? His family? Why are women expected to magically know everything that a man is hiding but no one else is?
His male friends had access to him for longer. His family, even more so. Why didn’t they stop him? Why didn’t they warn her? Or is it not their responsibility to know?
Did he hide who he really was from them just like he hid who he really was from her? If he did, then why are his friends exempt from ‘should have known’ while she holds the entire weight of the responsibility?
Hundreds of men saying ‘women need to take accountability’ because her husband murdered her for divorcing him is one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever witnessed on social media.
He murdered her. He took a gun and he shot her. He murdered the mother of his child. He murdered his wife.
Men are so desperate to remove any accountability from themselves when it comes to the violence of other men because putting the accountability solely on women means that they don’t need to do anything about the fact that men are murdering their wives.
The only time I see men shrieking that ‘women don’t take accountability’ is when men are pushing their own accountability onto women and women are saying ‘no, that’s yours’.
The fact that he murdered her for leaving him is clear, undeniable proof that she needed to get far away from him.
If she ‘should have known’ that he was going to murder her for it then everyone else in his life before her ‘should have known’ first.
reminder you are more than the size of ur body.
you do not have to spend this year only focusing on shrinking urself, dieting, becoming smaller, I know the messaging we’re getting inundated with is so focused on weight loss but you deserve to have greater desires than thinness
Pregnancy isn’t safe because of racism and lack of abortion rights.
No universal paid parental leave.
Childcare costs more than rent.
No free school lunch.
Economy sucks, everyone is stressed&broke.
The world is literally crumbling before our eyes.
What do they expect???
Ok, here's something I learned in high school humanities: As long as people believe that they have redress for injustice, either through courts or through political action (like voting), the people will choose nonviolent options.

I have the perfect solution to reducing dependence on SNAP and Medicaid - pay people a living fucking wage so they don’t have to rely on food stamps to survive, and implement universal healthcare so that people can get preventative healthcare…
