Last night I was reading The Diary of a CEO and found some real psychology sauce for copywriting.
Beliefs are mainly based on evidence. Here are the four factors that determine whether a new piece of evidence will change an existing belief:
1. A person’s current evidence
2. Their confidence in their current evidence
3. The new evidence
4. Their confidence in that new evidence
So if you want to change one of your customers’ beliefs through your ads, you should keep these factors in mind.
You don’t want to attack their beliefs. Instead, you want to inspire new ones.
For example:
Let’s say you have a supplement brand, and your target audience has a belief like this:
“X ingredient helps with gut problems, but it doesn’t work for me.”
You can change that belief by:
1. Understanding your customers, their current evidence, and how confident they are in it.
For example, they believe the ingredient doesn’t work for them because they’ve tried it before and didn’t see results.
2. Introducing new evidence that challenges their existing belief.
For example: “It might not have worked for you before because…” (Maybe the ingredient needs to be taken with more water to work effectively.)
3. Making them feel confident about that new evidence.
Don’t just tell them they need to take it with more water. Explain WHY that matters and back it up with credible evidence.
Give them an explanation that makes sense based on what they already know, but introduces something they haven’t considered or tried before.
I have to take a break from ecom for now.
My last ads didnt perform, and I decided to kill the product.
So now I can’t afford to keep testing products until I find something.
I decided to find a job in creative strategy or copywriting for now to improve my skills and also save money to be able to test products.
I will also of course keep reading and learning from marketing books and the fundamentals.
Also, now I will focus more on my other projects and try to get the most out of them.
There is a lot of potential in those, and I will try to maximise the chances of success. Because I also love spending time on them.

So that’s my news, and I will keep updating here on X with any big updates.
I finished No bs direct marketing recently and here are my thoughts.
To be honest it shares really basic information. It talks more to businesses that have no idea of direct response and never applied it.
So for us dropshippers is basically the thinks we learn on first day: offers, urgency, make people buy now
Here is the rules the book shares rhat every direct response business must have:
Rule 1: there will always be an offer or offers
Rule 2: there will be a reason to respond right now
Rule 3: you will give clear instructions
Rule 4: there will be trucking measurement and accountability
Rule 5: only no cost brand building
Rule 6: there will be follow up
Rule 7: there will be strong copy
Rule 8: it will look like mail order advertising
Rule 9: results rule, period
Rule 10: you will be a tough minded disciplinarian and put your business on a strict direct marketing diet
It shared some golden nuggets, especially in the end, but I wouldn’t recommend any dropshipper to read it.
Now Im in the middle of reading cashvertizing and the value there is so much more.
I already learned more than No bs and gives more clear instructions and tips, especially for copywriting.
Day 76
Yesterday I stayed until 5 in the morning to finish everything and launch
I couldn’t push that any further so I stayed all night to finish and launch even though I was sooo tired
Now I have 20 ads running all after a deep analysis of the results I had and more customer research
Now I have to wait and see how it goes.
Feels great to work hard again and improving discipline.
Lets keep going and good days are coming, no matter how many struggles I may have now
Day 74
The wait is over, tomorrow the new ads are going live.
I was waiting for the new month to launch the ads to have more cashflow and test them properly.
Having more time also made me spend more time for each creative and I think I improved a lot the ads quality
I also created my first ai animation ad that took a lot of time
And lot of credits, that made me do reviews of them to get extra credits
And in general trying to save as much as possible to run ads and invest in ecom
The last days I don’t feel that I progress a lot and I feel kind of lost.
Is really hard to try for so long and not see the results you was expecting, and sometimes is really bad
Surely the gurus are also responsible for presenting dropshipping as this easy thing you have to work 2 hours a day and make ton of money
If I focus on the negative my situation can look really messed up
But I don’t and I see my self closer than ever to start making money, improved my skills a lot and focus on the positive.
Ads start tomorrow and hopefully all that time analysing and executing will take place
If not I also found some other products (with subscriptions) to test next. Because after a talk with a member of my old mentorship that doing very good now, told me how hard it is to scale profitable without subscriptions.
Day 67
I decided to not run any ads because I don’t have the cash flow to test it properly.
I will have to wait until the next month to launch, which sucks
But I tried to turn it my way and make the ads better than ever.
The last 2 days I made extreme customer research and Im super confident I know those guys soo well.
I literally rewrite all the new scripts I was about to launch to target their hardest pains, deep desires and exactly their stories and beliefs.
To be honest this will be my best launch ever, from ads, because I will l test lot of formats and for all funnels.
I recreated some of the biggest winners at the moment.
And I had all the learnings from the previous month that I use.
Im always positive about what happens to us, no matter how bad it may look in the first place, it happens for a reason🙏
Also those last days have been very productive and healthy, I will keep that and make them better everyday.
Day 64
Is crazy how much golden info you can find on reddit
Im doing my research for some natives and Im really impressed by the details some people share on reddit
Some times I feel like they are trying to give us marketing sauce.
After I spend hours reading and felt that I have enough, I went through analyse them and wrote my tofu natives
Now I will create some statics to test some more ideas and usps and some middle funnel ads for the next launch.
I really like the results and I can’t wait to launch them.
Also today I finished no bs direct response marketing and I will move to cashvertizing next
I will share more about that book an a new tweet
Day 61
My promotional usage credits for claude is expiring in 2 days, so I added all the data I have from customer research + the results from my ads to fable 5.1
My goal is to analyse everything and create a new detailed ideal customer profile (that I have prove that works)
And a strategy of how to target them for all funnel states.
Now after analysing everything myself first, and making some revisions on claude results I have a clear icp to target and creative strategy for the next test.
That is what I have done today and Im super exited to create those ads and see the results.
Day 60
Its been 2 months now since I started this series, still far from the goal but also closer than ever and for the first time after 2 years I saw some results coming.
I learn and improve everyday to achieve those goals and I will continue to do that.
So is a good time to take a step back and review a little those 2 months
Here are the top 3 lessons I got:
1: To make your first 1k day you need to work your ass off.
2: I must spend time everyday analysing top ads, to master them and then be able to create them.
3: I need good cash flow to scale and some money on the side
Now I will continue reading direct response books. Watching yt about the things I want to improve. And learning by working everyday on those.
So now that I turned off the campaign, I do that and trying to analyse everything and understand my customer deeply.
Especially after having data of what worked so far after testing 4 angles.
And will launch a new campaign based on that, with the optimised page and offer.
I know the 1k days are coming
@Deus_Natus Wasn’t joking man, you have to take risks to win big and if you make smart decisions you can achieve great things.
Tbh Im in a very similar situation but not that extreme
