โi think the majority of the drivers, maybe not lando, that missed the first session were quite far off their teammates in the second sessionโ ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
โis that how you'd like to be remembered in 20 years (winning the championship your way), for example, or is it something you don't care about?โ
โจlando: โhonestly, i don't worry about it much. it's nice to be remembered. and i love that it's a posibility. schumacher was the most ruthless guy on the track. max was the most ruthless guy on the track. i don't think lewis was necesarily the most ruthless guy on the track. i think fernando was a pretty ruthless guy on the track. so there are plenty of champions who fit into that category.
but maybe one day someone will say... lando, or whoever it may be - you didn't need to be like those guys, because i won once while being a really nice guy (laughs). and that's a great thing to think about. but honestly.. i don't feel like i spend my life trying to be here so that people will remember me. because i think there are many other things i could do in my life if i wanted to be remembered. i just try to make the people i spend my time with happy - my team, my family, my friends. i just want to win for them.โ
โlast year you won the title without having to step on anyone, showing yourself to be a friendly driver toward others. do you think you can be a role model for future generations, much like kimi himself?โ
lando: โi suppose you could put it that way. i suppose i've shown that it's possible to win a championship without having to act... there's no need to be selfish. you don't have to pretend to be tougher than you are. you don't have to... be a jerk. you don't have to be like that just because you might have seen past champions win that way. maybe there are situations where it's better to be a little more selfish, a little cruel, and maybe there were moments last year when, if i'd been a little more like that, some results might have turned out better.
but i think the fact that i managed to win without being any of those things serves as an example that you don't have to be, as everyone says, the villain, the bad guy. you don't have to be part of that group to win a championship. you can do it from this other side, too. and that's something i'm very proud of.โ

A note to myself: Frankly speaking, I don't feel like staying here either. It's not fun to be around with how toxic part of the fandom can be. Maybe I'll be back to see the beginning of last season ๐ค but for now I don't enjoy MHA as much to be updated.
This is my MHA-only account but I scrolled today's TL and there were only two tweets related to MHA. It's either somone retweeting politics or bunch of different titles people I follow got into after MHA ended. The fandom is really dead, it wasn't like that when JUMP finished. ๐ข
I always look forward to when my fictional faves live up to their name but I'm not very excited about Deku becoming a wooden puppet ๐
No matter how MCs change through the story, their core stays the same. It's the first time I see an MC becoming a mare shadow of himself.
The fact it has to be explained ๐ญ
I wonder if they also think physical kpop albums sell millions because people liked one or two songs that much? ๐ค
I mean considering the fact that vol 42 is already selling second hand for less than $10 despite it not being even 2 weeks since it dropped, while the photocards and bonuses are selling for anywhere from $30-$150 Iโd say itโs pretty evident ๐
Technically he said he will be the highest taxpayer (one of the funniest MHA line that didn't make it to western fandom, RIP) and he had to be one if he could afford to buy a rin- I mean hero suit for Izuku.
@prettyboykats The timeline is kind of funny when you think about it. Bones kept adding izch scenes back when they thought it'd be typical lackluster shonen romance & they have to "improve it" with fillers but when Hori told them the ending they switched so fast & just stopped.
I probably already said this here (not?) but I have HUGE respect to Ayaneru for studying her character so deeply to the point of being physically affected by the emotions she played. I'm really happy she's VA for Ochako, cause I don't think there's anyone else who'd do it better.
