+ amount of skipped scenes in there is heavily.. intrusive, to say the least. So many people could have gotten a different message about said arc (especially about Near's character!!) if this amount of scenes weren't ignored.

If we're talking about the manga, I personally see the second arc as a bit rushed (even though I really like the parts where Near is making theories and there are entire paragraphs of text). But if we're talking about the manga.. I dont mind a lot about the 1st arc but the +
