@Deckard65479@CaribbeanRythms Guppy is correct, but not in a meaningful or interesting way. A person who spends their time on A will obviously have less knowledge of B than someone who spends their time on B.
@HitFactoryPod There’s an online epidemic of people coming across a term for the first time and assuming their intuitive understanding of the word is the actual definition. I recently saw someone use the phrase ”performing for the male gaze” to mean ”men acting macho to impress other men”
@achordae@Th3_W4nderer@kevin__fm I’ve wondered the same thing. I doubt most voters actually read the screenplays. I guess it’s just shorthand for ”Best Content” (story, characters, etc)
@Th3_W4nderer@kevin__fm Storyboarding is a means to an end, not an end itself, and so it’s silly to have an award for it. A movie can have beautiful storyboarding but have terrible cinematography, editing, etc. It’d be ridiculous to give that movie an award just because they tried really hard
@PAHoyeck@LucianFick When I was in HS we once got like two weeks to prepare for an in-class essay. I wrote the essay at home as normal, then I memorized the structure, the key points, etc, and then I was able to more or less reproduce the essay in class. It worked well imo and students can’t cheat
@NEETdrangheta99 Och om vi lägger till Greta Garbo, Ingrid Bergman, Max von Sydow och familjen Skarsgård tar vi oss en bra bit högre upp i rangordningen
"I wrote this movie for my kids to say sorry."
'One Battle After Another' director Paul Thomas Anderson took home three Oscars on Sunday: for the Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Picture. He dedicated his first award of the night to his four children, calling the movie both an apology for “the housekeeping mess that we left in this world” and a message of encouragement for the next generation.
