Final review on Lisa x Crazy Horse 🥹
I have given this a lot of thought, so many, many years ago, back to the Ressanance era. We have nude sculptures, nude paintings. Until today, it is the masterpiece of a century, so where is the limit? Where is the bottom line of these standards?
If we could accept what kind of message cabaret performance try to deliver the art inside is magnificent. I feel like it was never the performers' fault when people sexualized their job. The intentions always come from the viewers. How we understand it is up to us.
I think the misconception of equalizing acts with sexual acts is a step backward in the fight to sexual violence.
The whole performance at Crazy Horse Paris talks about the beauty of women's body. The combination of light and sound. The dancers'bodies flow within the different genres of music; blue, jazz, rock, etc… to go with the light, it’s an art show worth seeing.
Now, if you were to think that it’s the different generation. I met a lot of older generation in the audience today, from different countries. I’m beyond proud of Lisa to be able to gather different audiences to her show. To show what it means to break boundaries. She. Everyone is the star of the show. Everyone was applauding her. From old to young, Asian to Western, we admired her strength and her confidence from our seats today.
Lisa today does not only fight for her right to be a performer, but also mentally fights for the battle of judgment between and prejudiced society. But she never fails to impress people, impressed the hell out of me. I hope people will see this as a step for women to be confident and coming toward against people.
In the end, no matter how much you belittle her, she broke a boundary today, and not a lot of people can, and I am so proud of you, Lisa. Love you always. I flew all the way from the US to see 2 shows for your baby.
Much love,
Aang
