babies! about 12 years and 5 semi-tones higher on my voice ago hahaha

being here in Korea and doing some idol training with up and coming future stars really brought me back to my 1st experience as a choreographer in the Kpop world. looking back, i can't believe i was trusted with such huge opportunity to be responsible for the choreography of the solo debut of TAEMIN'S 1st record outside of SHINEE "DANGER"! at the time it felt like i had already been dancing and choreographing and hustling for 11 years and that things were finally starting to work out but i was really only 3 years into living in LA at this point.

i'll never forget, because U.S. artists tend to not want to do anything with dance besides one breakdown for an entire music video and song, that i thought i was going to have to work really hard with Taemin on the material and teach it piece by piece over several days and instead we finished everything i had prepared for the whole song in ONE DAY and just kept cleaning after that.

if i remember correctly, i even got notes from SM that they wanted the breakdown section even harder! wow! Taemin was always at such a high level even before we met! really cool to see Taemin still as one of the biggest Kpop idols in the game. we also genuinely became friends despite the language barrier at the time and hopefully some day we get the chance to dance together again - i really think my style is a great match for him!”
