@AmitA5l@munster_gene To know when a problem will be solved, you have to solve it first. Human drivers don't know how to handle innumerable edge cases either or there'd be no accidents. Just needs to be better than a human driver. If you can do better than the best in the world, build it or join Tesla
@HeweyJohn@JustinTrudeau Poilievre, when he's not parroting Republican positions, has also said: "โSince 2018, common sense Conservatives have been calling on the Trudeau Government to do more to support Ukraine so they can defend their country from Russiaโs illegal invasion," and "Slava Ukraini."
@AnnRolle_@JustinTrudeau Fortunately, that's not the case. EV batteries can be almost completely recycled. Infrastructure is being built to support that. Once that is in place, we can anticipate a loop where an ever-increasing percentage of battery materials come from recycled EV batteries.
@xlr8harder How to say you wish you were OpenAI without saying it. Lie about open-sourcing AGI. Like no regulatory body would ever object. Whatever open-source models they release, unless I've got my own data center, it's not going to beat what's running in someone else's data center.
@ylecun@lfxs1212 R&D percent of revenue is completely irrelevant. If I sell one T-shirt in my online T-shirt shop and earn a profit of one dollar, and I spend that entire dollar on an eBook on T-shirt design, I just spent 100% of revenue on R&D. Stop making up statistics.
@Tesla_Optimus The motion of the hands and the neck were so smooth I thought I was looking at a human in a costume. OMG you took every slight limitation of gen1 (hands, no head movement, feet not bending/sensing, speed, smoothness, walking speed) and did a moonshot here. Damn I love this.
@Domobranecx @RealPatrickWebb@TheChiefNerd Is this opinion based on any facts? The data from the crash tests, or just uninformed, baseless negativity. lol.
@Snowden Good point; maybe then we need an OpenBook open source, Facebook/Meta replacement without the cringe factor of the Zuckiverse and some legislation that we own our own data and can export it and delete it easily from all Social Media platforms?
@RaoulGMI Serious question: Buzzwords and great potential aside, why would I want a corporation like Zucks in charge of a VR platform that wants to be the Internet replacement? Why not have a VR Internet as an open standard/platform, regulated, trusted, shared, secure?
@iFredOS@DogLoverAtHeart@Snowden What is your motivation for repeating your opinion multiple times here @FredOS? Influence? Heard you first time;respectfully completely disagree w you. Those words won't prevent misuse. My opinion; Apple touts pro security for $ and found a way to convince some to give up privacy
@keithbaldrey On the contrary, you've been the single most reliable source of information and analysis the entire pandemic. Thank you for the always solid reporting.
I think the majority of systems work is the soft skill of communication. Use the right tools, look in the right places, gather the right information, craft the right message, pass it to the right people at the right time, so the right decisions drive the right actions. Right?
It took me a while to figure this out, but Ive started to learn my 26th programming language today. I'm learning R. In the photo is a cartridge I have of the second language I learned. #SundayFunday
@13Pav@LizaYuzda That's the manufacturer's recommended interval, but extending the interval between doses provides a better or longer lasting immune response I gather. And it allows more folks to get first doses more quickly. So I don't mind the wait.
The Wait is over: Code4Lib BC is coming your way.
