@SECNAV I did my best to block the heat with blackout curtains and such but they gave us fans and said we'd be fine because AC "isnt required" to keep us alive. I just want my room to not be sweltering hot when I get off work. The building is already old as it is
@SECNAV Sir, do you consider air conditioning a "vital" aspect of barracks quality of life? Specifically for buildings not equipped with such things or built to capture wind tunnels for cooling? I'm stationed in Hawaii and im prohibited from having air conditioning in my room
@SECNAV Specifically in the submarine base and the building im in is 3 stories tall, and is not built to capture the wind like the high rises are. I come back to my room after a long day and it's sweltering in there, everyone has to hide their AC units including the resident advisors
