I've recently started experimenting with the swift playgrounds app by @apple and I'm very impressed. It has walkthroughs that demonstrate the core concepts of coding. Highly recommended if you want to learn more as a designer, but not sure where to start.
That being said, I don’t think all designers need to learn how to code. But when you can (sort of) build what you design, you can see your work from an entirely different perspective, and there’s incredible value in that.
