Complaining about nightlife when you *checks notes* choose to live in Soho is like living in South Kensington and complaining about the museums. Or moving to Hackney and grumbling about creatives. Living in Richmond and hating green space. It's all getting a bit silly, isn't it?
i’m forgiving asf until i’m not😭 like i’ll deal with a lotttt then wake up on a random tuesday morning, realize how bad you got me fuckd up and never speak to you again!
This girl on TikTok said, “My problem is I get around people & start helping them believe in themselves. Then they get around me & try to make me feel smaller than I am.” I felt that sht so hard
A woman working 40+ hrs a week, paying for her own hair, nails, rent, car, food, gas, handling everything by herself, is not going to be the soft, feminine woman you expect her to be. And no, she can't bring you peace when she's in survival mode.
A broke woman and a broke man are not the same. She’ll still go to her little job, look good on a budget, have fun, and even be generous when she can. A broke man, though? Bitter, angry, stingy, and always draining the room.
I tend to not text back when I’m not in an ok mood. this could last from hours to days. I don’t care if you see me on social media ... I don’t want conversation.
i'm a type C girl...
- i can deep clean the whole house. or ignore a laundry pile for days.
- i can give a motivational pep talk, or need one myself.
- i can be 20 mins early or walk in 20 mins late.
- i can go to bed at 8pm, or scroll reels until the sun comes up.
Minimum wage in 2005 was £5.05 and a Freddo was 10p. Meaning that one hour of work got you 50 Freddos.
Fast forward to 2025, minimum wage is £12.21 and a Freddo is 35p. Now one hour of work will only get you 34 of them.
That's a 142% rise in pay but a 250% rise in frog shaped chocolate bars.
If wages had kept up with the price Freddos, the minimum wage would be £17.50 an hour.
The economy’s in shambles and yes I’m measuring it in chocolate frogs. But this post is about more than that. Too many people are working full time and struggling to survive because absolutely everything is increasing faster than wages.
Something needs to change.
I will never fall for the not making friends at work propaganda
I’ve made friends at work who have helped me land my next role, helped me with interview prep, helped me with salary negotiations and who are just cool people doing cool things
