Dwyane Wade on when he knew he was leaving his prime:
“I would say probably after my 3rd knee surgery — it was in 2012. So after we beat OKC in the Finals — that summer I got my 3rd knee surgery. After that I felt like I never got back my explosion, maybe I came back a little too quick…I was there for training camp…I really didn’t give myself a full time to heal…when I was driving to the bucket I could see that I couldn’t take off like I used to…I had to start adjusting my game…so I would say 2012 was my last year as prime and after that I was good enough to be good enough.”
