Matched at my number #1, and
so, so excited to join the internal medicine family @UCSF!!! Thank you to all the mentors, friends, and family who made this queer, Latinx doctor’s dream come true ♥️
I’m honored to be interviewed 1 last time before the end of my 10 years at Stanford! From when I arrived in 2014, these have been the most foundational years of my life. I’m excited to share my education with the border community of Scripps Chula Vista 🤍 https://t.co/e0Yt8KgfHt
Please share! 🙌🏽 Grateful for the opportunity to present today to the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee meeting on “What Can Congress Do to Address the Severe Shortage of Minority Health Care Professionals and the Maternal Health Crisis?”
Also grateful to be able to represent Latinos and many of us in this movement for the long haul for our patients.

In light of the Supreme Court’s decision around affirmative action, a reminder that there is no such thing as meritocracy, there are no metaphorical bootstraps. There are only power, privilege, and opportunity—and the various ways these things are accessed or gatekept.
I am beyond THRILLED to have matched at the University of California San Francisco - UCPC Internal Medicine program! I can't wait to meet my colleagues, care for my own patient panel, and work for health equity with the best researchers and experts! #StanfordMatch#Match2023
Twitter fam, thank you for helping me to find the family of the 9 year old girl from NJ who had the police called on her by her neighbor for collecting lantern flies. I connected with them & invited them to @yale for a Black girl led Science Tour! Yesterday—HISTORY was MADE (1/)
I said goodbye to a patient a few years ago. She didn’t die, she just got old. I treat patients to age 21 and they move on. When they do, I joke, “well, I did my job! I kept you alive until adulthood!”
With this kid, it was not a joke. 1/
