Even though things didn't go as expected, former Muhammadu Buhari was a leader who truly loved Nigeria. He was simple, disciplined, and stood for honesty. He gave his best, unfortunately his best wasn't enough.
We pray that his efforts will be remembered with kindness.
Had APCโs consensus process reflected grassroots sentiment instead of elite political calculations, AUDU SOJA would be nowhere near next election cycle. His political trajectory is a textbook example of underperformance sustained by internal party protection not public confidence
Katsina State politics in 2026 presents a picture of continuity and transition.
While the ruling APC continues to enjoy the advantages of incumbency under Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, the opposition in Katsina State appears to be weakened by persistent internal challenges that have limited its ability to emerge as a formidable alternative.
Rather than presenting a united front, opposition parties have been characterised by leadership tussles, factional interests, disputes over party structures, and the absence of a clearly defined political direction. Personal ambitions among key stakeholders have, in many instances, overshadowed the broader objective of building a cohesive movement capable of challenging the ruling party.
These internal divisions have created uncertainty among supporters and have slowed grassroots mobilisation efforts across the state. Without a consensus on leadership, ideology, and strategy, the opposition risks entering future electoral contests fragmented and less effective.
Consequently, the APCโs greatest advantage may not necessarily be its numerical strength alone, but the inability of opposition forces to organise around a common vision. Unless opposition actors prioritise reconciliation, institutional rebuilding, and collective interest above individual aspirations, their prospects of mounting a serious challenge will remain limited.
Ultimately, the political future of Katsina State will not depend solely on the performance of the government in power, but also on whether the opposition can transform itself into a credible, united, and issue-driven platform capable of earning the confidence of the electorate. In an evolving political landscape, voters increasingly expect both effective governance and a viable democratic alternative.

The day politics is reduced to actual service to humanity rather than personal aggrandisement, the pressure for every Tom,Dick and Harry to troop the game will reduce by half. When people know theyโll spend & sacrifice more than they get, only the patriotic and capable will remain.
This is where your access and influence matter most, pushing him toward competence and better governance.
Many leaders today are surrounded by people who only say what preserves their position, not what benefits the public.

Saw two APC armoured vehicles along Jikamshi road last Thursday. With the level of insecurity around, one begins to wonder whether theyโre stationed for protection or simply for appearance
One of the first set of bills that I look forward to moving when we come back for the 11th senate is a bill that makes it possible for anyone who wants to be president or governor to spend only one term of 6 years.
- Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, Leader of the 10th Senate.
Ahmad knows 2 politicians, A and B. Ahmad is a good person and wants good governance. He knows A to be more qualified (let's say 80-70) but he has more access and influence on B. Who should he vote for and why?
I learnt there's a free medical consultation and treatment for pilgrims. So I'd really love to win this for my mom.
She's been battling with a lot of sicknesses like diabetes, blood pressure, gout, ulcer and asthma.
She'll get a chance to perform Umrah and also get free medical check up.
I pray this comment makes it.
May Allah ease our affairs. Amin
