In March 2000, the South Park guys (Trey Parker, Matt Stone) showed up at Academy Awards in designer women's dresses after taking LSD-laced sugar cubes.
Parker was nominated for Best Song Oscar after writing "Blame Canada" (from South Park film).
They asked Robin Williams to do the performance and he agreed.
The legendary comedian started the song just as Stone and Parker’s acid trip was wearing off.
Parker lost to Phil Collin with “You’ll Be In My Heart” from Tarzan…song kinds slaps tbh.
They said “we fully expected to lose [Oscar’s], just not to Phil Collins”…and proceeded to troll the singer in a number of episodes the next South Park season (lol).
Either way, their entrance is still the greatest Oscar’s Red Carpet performance ever.
More people should talk about Jonas. I feel like when streetwear and its success stories/founders are talked about, Jonas often gets left out. He was really one of them ones. I wish I got to meet him.
Life cannot just be about one sad thing after another.
There must also be things that make us super excited and inspired about the future. This is one of things. Bigtime.
On this day in 2006, Lil Wayne would drop the video to his "Dough is What I Got" freestyle from his mixtape "Da Drought 3" which would make Jay-Z question his place in the rap game
