The 2025 Weekly #MovieChallenge begins Monday 30th December.
Each Monday, we set a challenge to watch a movie that meets certain criteria, helping you to tackle your watchlist. Do as many of the weekly challenges you want, as and when you want. Who's in?
RT's appreciated
@CineChallenges Hum, sorry to bring bad news. I also had the logout problem while I was making diary entries for each challenge week. But I now seem to have lost all challenge history. Watched films are still there though. (Login via email)
@CineChallenges Also watched some that would count, but didn’t need to do better than the first time around for these:
Cobweb / Valmont - Single word title, connecting to another movie
Little women (the Winona Rider one) - Big/Small, Unnamed character
@CineChallenges Revisitd challenges I kinda failed somehow. Not sure I nailed it every time though.
Sweethearts - Alternative romance
Silent night / Fatman - Revenge
L’Esprit Coubertin (Game changers) - Olympics
Poor things - Transformation
@CineChallenges Four Brothers. Reunited after the killing of the mother who happened to be turkey shopping. Revenge movies are definitely not my thing. Way too much toxic masculinity in there
@CineChallenges Went for silliness this week, with Quentin Dupieux’s Daaaaaali!, as surreal as it should be, and Pierre Etaix’s Yoyo, right in Tati’s footsteps
@CineChallenges C’est mon homme, where two women recognise an amnesic WWI soldier as their husband. And Hawaii, where a group a friends think they’re gonna die during a missile alert. But they don’t and have to live with what they said. Both good cast but both felt seen already.
@CineChallenges Also watched It Chapter Two, that was not as good, and rewatched The Frighteners, that I already had in last year challenge. And Teen Wolf. Automn is the official Michael J. Fox season
