I am (or was) a power user of Layer3 — someone who showed up, did the work, and believed in the platform. This post is long, but it’s absolutely worth the read if you’ve been questing with Layer3 — or are even thinking about getting involved and staking. Know what you're signing up for.

You told us we were building something together. That if we stuck around, if we contributed, if we believed — we’d be rewarded. You said OGs would eat well. You said to trust you.

Instead, you played us.

This isn’t a hit piece. This is us, the community, speaking directly to the team that left us behind.

"OGs Will Eat Well" — You Lied

Brandon, you told us Season 3 was what mattered. You told us not to worry about S1 or S2. That we were being "thought of."

Then you gave us a choice: lock our tokens for a year, or take a pathetic 15–18% now.

And let’s be clear — this was the biggest slap in the face. This wasn’t a reward. This was a punishment disguised as a bonus. We could either trust you and be locked in for a full year without liquidity, or take table scraps and walk away.

Personally, I receive a JSON error after almost every step of a quest. And half the time, I get the dreaded "There was a problem getting data for your CUBE mint" message. It's beyond frustrating — how are users supposed to participate when the system breaks this often? And it's not just me. Look at the Discord and see for yourself — plenty of users are reporting the same issues, and nothing is being done about it.

And while all this is happening, you rolled out a new version of the site that eats up resources like it's mining Bitcoin in the background.

It's slow, it crashes, it glitches — and somehow, it still doesn’t fix any of the core problems.

"The site looks shinier, sure. But it's heavy, buggy, and it’s not helping anyone."

You spent energy redesigning the wrapper, when what’s inside is still just as broken.

You Didn’t Just Stay Silent — You Got Petty

And let’s talk about support — or the complete lack of it. People who submitted tickets? Still waiting. Days go by. Sometimes over a week. No resolution, no update, no sign anyone’s even looking at them.

If you were actually running this like a professional operation, you would’ve staffed up support properly. You knew there would be backlash. You knew people would need help. Instead, you ignored them.

When people called you out, you didn’t address it. You shut it down.

Then? Everyone started unstaking (see at bottom). Not gradually — in a wave. Hundreds of users pulled their tokens in days.
This is what it looks like when your most loyal base walks away.

Here’s What We’ve Been Saying

Let’s be clear — we understand not 100% of users are upset. But it is 100% a fact that the majority are. Many of the most disappointed voices are coming from your most active, most consistent contributors — the people who kept this platform moving for months.

Let’s talk about your so-called interest in community feedback. Every time you opened the floor for input — whether it was on staking, rewards, or features — people took it seriously. We organized thoughtful responses. We offered fixes. We gave you real, actionable ideas from users who actually cared.

You pretended to listen. You acted like you were curious, like you valued our opinions. But in the end? You ignored nearly all of it. You told us what we wanted to hear — then delivered the opposite.

Let’s not forget the Sybil problem — one of the longest-running and most frustrating parts of this entire platform. We brought it up repeatedly. We flagged obvious Sybils. We submitted screenshots. We shared account patterns. We asked again and again for the team to acknowledge it.

You didn’t even talk about it. You ignored it. You left it out of every major announcement. You rewarded them anyway.

Now, after everything’s blown up, you suddenly say you took steps to flag Sybils before the drop? No details, no proof, no transparency. Just a line buried in the damage control.

Too little. Way too late. That would've mattered if you'd done it when it counted.

And look — it’s not lost on us that you have investors. We get it. The team deserves to make money too. Nobody here expected to get rich.

But what the community wanted — and what we were led to believe — was that we could at least break even. That after all the time, effort, and money we put in, we’d walk away feeling like it was worth it.
How could you even fathom we’d be happy with this outcome if we can’t break even? What did you think we were grinding for — fun? Exposure? We showed up for months because we believed it would add up to something. It didn’t.

And let’s not ignore one more thing — you love posting the rewards users received, but never once mention the costs it took to get there.

Most users were operating at a loss. But you parade the L3 token counts like we should be grateful. Like that was profit. It wasn’t.

And yet somehow, Brandon still had the nerve to say:
“S3 allocations were positive ROI for the end user factoring in what they earned throughout the season.”

Positive ROI? For who? Most users spent more on bridges, domains, and gas fees than they’ll ever get back. Many didn’t even earn enough to cover a single chain’s worth of engagement — let alone across both EVM and Solana.

It’s insulting to suggest we came out ahead when the numbers clearly say otherwise.

One unhappy community member said this, "Positive ROI means that after 8 months if you made 1 dollar extra on top of what you’ve spent all this time then you still made a positive ROI. But does my hard work and time worth that tiny bit of extra after 8 months? The positive ROI argument doesn’t work in this case just because (it could be a positive ROI) doesn’t mean we should be okay with it.Also, how does it even count as an ROI if we are not allowed to realize any profits? If it’s locked for a year then there is no ROI actually until we have a choice to keep or sell. Because after a year from now if the price drops significantly then we will end up with nothing. Which is sadly, but most likely, what will happen if the current situation doesn’t change."
