The Library of Congress has selected Taylor Swiftâs â1989â to be added to the National Recording Registry for preservation.
The registry chooses recordings based on their âcultural, historical or aesthetic importance in the nationâs recorded sound heritage.â
And now here we our about to start the third tour. Iâve got a really really good feeling about this. Thatâs not some bullshit marketing ploy to make you come to the show, I genuinely havenât ever felt this assured about the show weâre about to put on. If youâre reading this and youâre a fan, donât underestimate your importance in how I feel professionally. Now if Iâm real with myself Iâm sure there will be a few moments where I get in my own head but after all these years I feel so protected by you all in those spaces. I literally canât fucking wait for these shows.
Will it be a performance worthy of a vocal Olympian? No
Will it be the best selling show of the year? No
Will it be a show with numerous lyric sheets on stage like weâre in the stone age before autocue? Maybe
What it will be though is a moment for all of us to celebrate how far weâve all come. Diary entries over. Just wanted to update you on what was going on in my head.
How Did I Get Here? Iâve been asking myself that question since I started my career. Iâm so excited to finally say the new album is out! I feel so incredibly grateful for your years of die hard support.
Iâve always found it impossible to answer the question of how I ended up here but one thing is for certain I wouldnât be here without you all.
This record is for you. Itâs yours now, enjoy!
