We are taught to prioritise raising our monthly pay over raising our hourly rate. Ur employment contracts state your monthly compensation but not the number of hours required. Here are 2 areas where employers need to rethink their pay systems:

In fact, industries like IT and management consulting charge clients on an hourly basis.14 hours are worked by employees each day. However, HR merely expects them to fill 8 hours. In India, timesheets are a joke because they have no effect on our pay.
