David's death was abrupt as he was in an intense 1v1 against Smasher. While D's felt gradual since he was fighting waves of megacorp squads. It's amazing that they were able to deliver 2 endings that makes you feel it in your chest 😭

just finished episode 8. this dynamic and the effect it has on D conceptually being an allegory for both the initial esctatic feeling of addiction and the downspiral it brings is actually so peak. I love the messaging they conveyed here, especially tying in to D's inescapable trauma that raptures him away from the happiness and feeling of living he had--being the root of why he gets so infatuated with the sense of happiness Capri brings, almost like being brought back to that self he lost so long ago. I'm really loving where they are going with the "Hero to Zero" theme throughout and cannot wait to see how this story is wrapped up in these last 2 eps. ep 8 was 10/10, absolute cinema.
