#Qatar has shipped its first liquefied natural #gas (LNG) cargo through the Strait of #Hormuz since the Al Rekayyat tanker was struck on 7 July, according to Bloomberg. The Al Areesh tanker, which loaded a cargo at Qatar’s #RasLaffan terminal around 4-6, July, sailed through Hormuz with its transponder turned on and was entering the Gulf of #Oman on Thursday morning local time, according to ship-tracking data.

@Reuters, citing separate tracking data from Kpler and LSEG, reported the departure as the first vessel to leave the strait since 11 July, and the first @qatarenergy-controlled LNG tanker to do so since the Al Rekayyat attack. The tanker is currently heading to Port Qasim, #Pakistan, with an estimated arrival of 31 July, according to LSEG data.
