i am almost 40 pages in and already i love maia. it’s astonishing and impressive how quickly katherine addison was able to introduce the protagonist and inspire investment in him.
as much as i love ursula k le guin, her books are DENSE… taking a break from left hand of darkness to read the goblin emperor, about which i have ONLY heard praise, and BOY HOWDY is this shit good.
