The consumer doesn’t decide what artists are ALLOWED to create.

If artists only made what everyone expected from them, nothing new would ever happen… the world be gray.

consider this.

Rap and hip hop are clearly on the decline commercially. Meanwhile genres like R&B, EDM and country are rising.. especially in ticket sales.

Music is art, but it’s also a business.

An artist’s job is to create. An entrepreneur’s job is to adapt.

Think about your own job. If the market you sold to slowly disappeared, you’d probably pivot and sell to a different market.

So why can’t an artist?
