@JCLofi You obviously haven’t been around this topic very long then if you think marathon had “barely anything to do” with them pulling the plug on Destiny.
@A_dmg04 Makes me wonder if yall could have postponed ending development because an update like this, with things players have been asking for for months, maybe would have made it to where you didn’t have to end development
@strippelhofff Then seeing people don’t wanna play marathon they’re gonna have to pivot and start making D3 if they want to still exist in 5-8 years. Pretty simple.
@YoureIdeaIsBad@DestinyBulletn All they care about right now is money. Do you think they care about how the “brand” looks when they’re laying off hundreds of people?
@FrostBiten@Dexerto What are you even saying right now. Sony will be just fine it’s Bungie and all the people that work on their games that won’t be. More layoffs are coming because marathon wasn’t the financial success they thought it would be. So yes, Bungie needed it to be “the next big thing”
@giancar73012035 The problem I have is that even if marathon does end up being this insane money maker which it probably won’t there’s no way in 4-5 years Bungie is gonna say “Okay NOW let’s make Destiny 3!!”
Marathon is never going to hit the highs Destiny did, it’s not that kind of game.
@InfiniteGrunt@jamieedwards888 You really think by more people playing marathon that’s going to make Bungie in…idk 5-6 years say you know what? Now let’s make Destiny 3!😎
I’ve tried to stay positive but I don’t think we can do anything. If they didn’t greenlight D3 years ago they never will.
@DirtyEffinHippy@PaulTassi@SkyAsassino I wonder if “previous leadership” sit back and know that if they had probably just listened to their own devs and community they would be in a much better spot right now.
