Lots of local storage is so easy now. I prefer to try and minimise the amount on each device and use a NAS / cloud service to keep it centralised and in sync across devices.

@CompareSoftware @KTheivendran @Ethicalhealthuk @digitalhealth2 @parseksolutions @SARDJV @GreatNorthCare @_sleepstation I was really impressed a while ago with the plans from @TheChristieNHS to use an OpenEHR data layer, with the in-house EPR, EPMA, chemotherapy systems etc all using it.

Really interested to see how this ambitious plan progresses in real life.

@CompareSoftware @KTheivendran @Ethicalhealthuk @digitalhealth2 @parseksolutions @SARDJV @GreatNorthCare @_sleepstation I agree many suppliers will take this stance, but I would argue that a system with the ability to read and write to a separate open data layer is a huge market advantage!

Knowing that the data is easy to use across systems and will be portable at EOL and is a winner!

There are certainly some questions about the FDP that need answering, and we need openness and transparency when so much patient data and money is on the line.

@GaryMcAllister Was some great deals on used ones, but no way I could justify the fule cost!
I did the sensible thing and went electric instead, but would have been fun to have a burbling v8 and supercharger whine before that becomes something of distant memory only.

Would be very interested to know how it performs in real life transcription given the specialist medical terminology we use and abbreviations that can mean different things in different areas.
