@NBABabySecret if the front office lets the Simons TPE expire rather than using it to add future salary while remaining under the luxury tax this year, it screams that ownership is prioritizing profit over winning. as a fan, i support resetting the repeater, but not losing out on the TPE chance
@AdamHimmelsbach If Bill (or the private equity investor, rather) wasn’t cheap, the Celtics would have offered a THREE year max extension for Giannis instead of a TWO year one during trade negotiations. The Celtics could have Giannis right now but instead are kicking the can down the road with PG
@NBABabySecret what teams need paul george’s services? the pistons? the cavs? the spurs? the magic? the rockets? the blazers? the kings? the suns?
need a 3-team deal to land Trey Murphy and a two year contract around $30M annually. shit idec if it’s jalen green 😭 i’m down bad rn send help
@NBABabySecret who are the Derrick White trade suitors? i don’t want to trade him but this would help with the TPE shell game. then trade Hauser to the highest bidder.
@mikezarren it seems like the plan is to reset the repeater tax by ducking the luxury tax this year. it’s essential for 2027-28 and beyond that the Celtics use the Simons TPE. i love Derrick but he is the salary that would work best. this trade would create a $30M TPE to use next summer.
@mikezarren Jalen Duren isn’t a championship center he isn’t a rim protector or a spacer. Pls figure out a 2 year big contract in return for JB. We need picks and a contract to use as ammo next season when we go star hunting
@KeithSmithNBA when will @spotrac update rosters with trades that have been agreed to? for instance, LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges are still on the hornets and it’s difficult to make realistic trades with that team since their cap situation is so different now
