@OHBM_Trainees I always come away from OHBM feeling inspired and motivated, however, this year more so than ever. I’m so incredibly lucky to work alongside such brilliant and amazing colleagues who I now get to call my friends. Cheers #OHBM2025, I’m already looking forward to Bordeaux!
I had the incredible opportunity to attend #OHBM2025 in Brisbane. I presented my most recent research investigating the role of neuromodulator subunits in explaining amygala volume loss in older adults who experienced early life stress! 🧠🧬
@OHBM_Trainees This year, the SP-SIG collaborated with OHBM’s Communications Committee developed two new in-person scientific communication competitions at the conference which were a roaring success. ComCom’s Comms Comp (😆) was a labour of love which I am incredibly proud of.
Now that #OHBM2025 is over 😢, we’d love to hear from you! 🔈
Please fill out the following form to tell us about your experiences at this year’s conference.
If you’d like to keep up with the Sp-SIG community, join our mailing list below too! 🤩✨🧠

And our second MISClabber @_megsheppard proudly presenting her work studying why (and when) amygdala structure changes following early traumatic experiences... 🎉💪🎉
It was pleasure to chair a symposium on academic burnout at #OHBM2025, on behalf of @OHBM_Trainees 🔥
A HUGE thank you to our wonderful speakers, who were willing to be so open and vulnerable about their personal experiences - @fMRI_today, @AmyBrodtmann & @DanielMargulies
Academics, including students, postdocs, and ECRs often face high expectations for long work hours and limited work-life balance. At #OHBM2025 we will be hosting a symposium on "Academic burnout and how to deal with it".
Speakers:
@DanielMargulies@AmyBrodtmann@fMRI_today
"It takes a village to raise a child."
Thanks to all the members of the SP-SIG and everyone who has helped behind the scenes with the upcoming events at #OHBM2025
🎉🎉#OHBM2025 is just around the corner! Remember to visit the SP-SIG stall next to the registration desk and add stickers to your badge describing your research interests!
