1) If sponsoring family members, does that mean they're paying for them out of their own pocket? 8 people plus sounds v expensive. Genuine question.

2) The immigrants country of origin may benefit from having fewer healthcare workers go abroad.

@matthew_loftus Most of these are character traits, one is notably outside of the prospective man's control, though she's a lot more reasonable than many women (5ft 7 gives more men a chance than 6ft).

As a shorter man I'm happy that you're probably right.

@Diaryofmiracles @UBERSOY1 Maybe women are much better at emotionally supporting each other. Then again I've seen women on here complaining about the downsides of female friendships, so could be on a case by case basis.

@DNeckel19 Not me reading this as an Englishman who loves Mexico and has spent a lot of time there.

USA fans can root for whoever they want. They (at least many of them) are our cousins, but by proximity they're going to be more exposed to Mexican people and Mexican culture.

@orgivememeth @Cliu122Liu @cincodegato1 I expect healthcare access is even worse wherever they've gone than in the States, and if I'm right, then there's a reasonable chance they're able to do more good over there. If I'm wrong, then remarkably, healthcare access in the US is as bad as in Africa.

I would say that the Didache shows being against abortion is in line with ancient Christian conviction - even if Hebrew OT treats two men fighting carelessly causing a passing women (cont.)

@mills4grist @Vicar1973 Yes, there are lots of things the Bible doesn't prohibit which are in fact all right. Your above example is obviously not one of those because it causes danger to other people and is rightly illegal. A white man marrying a black or filipino woman, for example, not so much.

@GoodnightCaleb @Vicar1973 You could be, but the text only prohibits being unequally yoked with unbelievers. It doesn't say avoid being unequally yoked with a fellow believer of a different age or ethnicity. Hence *with unbelievers* is the key part.

@lukeappleton Sure, but what's the link between the two? People go to the gym, in my opinion, for health (compensating for a sedentary occupation) and to improve their chances of being attractive to the opposite sex.

@Dade512 @aaron_p_edwards The Didache is one of the oldest Christian documents in existence outside of scripture, and it says "You shall not commit murder by abortion, nor kill that which has been born". Much of the document is an exposition of the Sermon on the Mount. Worth looking into.
