We need to speak out about what is happening right now: The United States government is starving the Cuban people.
11 million people without fuel. Children without food or medicine. Hospitals without power. Babies dying without working incubators.
End the blockade now.
Guess who survived the genocide in Gaza and is now in Geneva, Switzerland, getting ready to begin a Master’s in Computer Science at the University of Geneva?
A new beginning, greater responsibility, and ambition that never stops.
I’m sorry but the actual Palestinians reporting and bravely filming and posting their final moments for the world to see is not considered an “archive of Israeli military crimes” but THIS is?????
Hello, world.
I’m writing these words with tears in my eyes, completely shocked and heartbroken after losing my friend, Mohammed, who was killed by Israel.
Every day, people in Gaza are being killed without warning. Every single person here lives with the fear that the next strike could take their life.
Today, it was my friend Mohammed. Tomorrow, it could be me, someone from my family, a child, a young person, an elderly person, or a woman.
This is our reality. This is what it means to live in Gaza.
I honestly don’t know what else to say. I am exhausted from watching people I know disappear one after another. I am tired of mourning, tired of being afraid, and tired of asking the world to simply see us.
Please, do something. Share our voices. Share what is happening. Follow me and help keep our stories from being forgotten.
I am asking every one of you: please, do whatever you can from wherever you are.
The situation in Gaza has become unimaginably devastating. We need the world to act before there is nothing left to save.
For the millionth time, I beg you:
Save what remains of Gaza before it is too late.
Don’t let Mohammed’s death become just another number.
Please share. Please speak. Please don’t look away. 🇵🇸💔

✊
Palestinians gave their lives to tell this story. Inside and outside of Gaza, we screamed to the world what Israel was doing, like we’ve been screaming for decades. But it’s only Israelis who are believed, celebrated as brave storytellers, the perpetrators humanized and given the benefit of the doubt, the vestiges of moral flickers amplified to complicate their decisions to kill our families.
Today is the 53rd anniversary of the military coup in Chile, which overthrew the democratically elected Allende government.
I joined friends and comrades outside the Chilean embassy to commemorate those who were killed and disappeared. Nobody will ever be forgotten.
The unspoken thing here is that the jaw drop is not actually due to the scale of the dust plume but specifically because it is happening in New York. The same video taken in Beirut or Tehran would never get the same reaction from the viewer.
Never forget that, after 9/11, the US proclaimed it would use the opportunity to take out the governments of 7 sovereign countries: Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, Somalia, Libya, and Iran. Never forget, 39 million people became refugees because of this plan.
Today marks 25 years since the attacks of September 11.
We remember all those whose lives were lost and shattered that day. And we honour the bravery of first responders, many of whom are still battling illnesses and campaigning for their right to healthcare.
What followed was a catastrophic 'War on Terror', which killed many hundreds of thousands of people, left many more in desperate poverty, fuelled a wave of Islamophobia, and triggered an endless spiral of conflict, hatred and misery.
The US led, and Britain supinely followed. The world is still living with the consequences of this disastrous decision, yet there is still no accountability for the death and destruction it left behind.
Today, we must learn the lessons of history. That means recognising that war is not the answer, ending the horrors of occupation, and striving to build a world of peace and harmony for all.
In the year following the 9/11 attacks anti-Muslim hate crimes increased by 1,600% including many murders. The invasion of Afghanistan killed more than 38,000 Afghan civilians. The invasion of Iraq resulted in the deaths of at least 206,000 Iraqi civilians. Never forget them.
haven’t seen naza but it doesn’t sit right with me to see yuval abraham and rachel szor get a standing ovation at venice while their no other land co-director basel adra is watching his community get bulldozed
RIP to the 2,976 people that lost their lives on 9/11
And RIP to the 3.7 million people in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine,Syria, Yemen, and Pakistan who paid the ultimate price for a crime they did not commit
