A release is not the same as a payment.

When the Ministry of Finance releases funds, it issues warrants and spending authority through the Controller and Accountant General, making the funds available to a ministry. Actual payments are made later when invoices, certificates, receipts and other supporting documents are submitted and processed.

So the fact that a ministry hasn’t yet spent or paid out the full amount doesn’t mean the funds were not released.

The GH¢1.677 billion figure refers to funds that were made available to MoFA through approved releases and allotments. It doesn’t mean every cedi had already been paid out at the time.

There’s a difference between money being released and money being spent.

What a privilege we had to serve the many families who showed up for today's Open Pantry.

My heart was broken to see the level of need around us, and at the same time, I felt honoured that we have this opportunity to be an extension of Christ's love to our community. Lord Jesus, we are grateful!

I am deeply appreciative of our dear partners, volunteers, and friends whose love and support never cease to amaze me. Thank you for choosing hope over fear.

Not enough is said about the impact of the church in Nigeria, especially the tremendous work our man of God is doing for society. From the number of children on scholarships to initiatives like Oxroad Nursery and Primary School providing free education for all, these are life-changing contributions that often go unnoticed.

One day, people’s eyes will truly open to see how much the church has consistently done to uplift and support the people.
