This week we have been learning about the Hindu celebration Diwali ‘The Festival of Light’. P1C made rangoli patterns out of different materials such as numicon and 2D shapes. We also created our very own lanterns! 🏮

Dinosaur themed maths lesson incorporating shape today was a hit with P1C 🦖 Lots of great discussion from the pupils about different shapes they know we even spoke about sides, edges and some 3D shapes too! WOW 🤩

P1C had a great time this morning exploring their new sound ‘b’. We made blew our own bubbles, experimented with making boats that could float in water and built brick towers! 🫧🧱

The children won’t really notice if the displays aren’t finished or perfect on day 1. They probably won’t notice if books aren’t labelled.

What they will notice is you and how excited/keen you are to get to know them and start building relationships.

That’s the important bit.
