WW2 Day. Our evacuees have been rationing food, building air raid shelters in the forest and learning Lindy Hop dancing. We have had a fun day and you all looked fantastic!
In this week’s Reading Rocks assembly, we read ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’. All the children enjoyed listening to the matching classical music and making links with the story read in the assembly @ReadingatWB#readingrocks
Year 5 had a brilliant time at Holy Trinity Church today learning about stories depicted in stained glass and Baptism. A big thank you to Gary from Holy Trinity.
@_misscorcoran Seth's homework. He spent several evenings drawing this then using watercolours to paint it while we were on holiday in Eyam. A few anxious times when the watercolours went wrong, but he learnt to practice on a spare sheet.

In Science, we have been using ‘feely bags’ filled with lots of different materials and we tried to identify them by describing their properties. We then tested each material for magnetism, transparency, flexibility and permeability.
As part of our D&T project, we have been making Greek flatbread! The children really enjoyed trying new foods and learning some valuable cooking skills. We are so proud.
Today, we celebrated ‘Shakespeare Week’. We watched a clip of Romeo and Juliet and acted out some of the scenes. We really enjoyed working with Peter Kennedy last week so we brought Shakespeare to life with our drama activity. #shakespeareweek#reading
Year 5 enjoyed our DT lesson this afternoon. We have been evaluating and comparing Greek and Italian ingredients, and using our senses to describe each food. 🇬🇷🇮🇹
