My class did their weekly times table test today and one child somehow managed to complete 64 mixed multiplication & division questions on all times tables up to 12 x tables. 64 questions in just 3 minutes. And he got every single one correct.
I’m in shock. What a superstar.

@CrowtherSim It’s incredible how quick some of them are on ttrs isn’t it! I really don’t know how they manage it so rapidly!

@1ECBW We have a big focus on x tables across my school & I love how the celebration of it is embedded well. It’s especially a focus for us in year 4 as the children sit a national multiplication check test! It really allows the children to access lots of other mathematical concepts😊

First day back with the children today😊 My new class are such lovely children, although with the first day back mania I have to admit my feet are incredibly sore and I am bound to sleep well tonight😂😂

And just like that my first year of Teach First is complete!
I felt a mixture of emotions yesterday; glad to be getting a break, very grateful and loved by my first ever class and sad to see them move on, but also excited to have finished my first year of teaching😅

One of the SEND children in my class gave me this today and told me that it was so I wouldn’t forget her when she goes into year 5🥺 I really have been so lucky with my class this year, they are so lovely and I’m really going to miss them when they’re no longer in my class❤️

I am honoured to have been a finalist for ‘Newcomer Of The Year’ at the Thurrock Education Awards☺️ I may not have won the award but to have even been considered is a lovely achievement and I am so grateful.
I had a lovely evening celebrating many fantastic teachers in the area❤️

Got to meet my new class today and they are absolutely adorable! I’ve got a really lovely group of kids who have been so sweet all day☺️

I have a transition day with my new class on Thursday and was wondering if anyone has any ‘getting to know you’ activity ideas?
I have a couple but want to have as many up my sleeve as possible!

Found out today that I will be in year 4 again next year! Being in year 4 for my ECT year is really going to help me develop & the cohort coming up are really lovely☺️
