Since the nucleus holds a cell's DNA, when there are small mutations creating a dysfunctional portion of the nucleus, it can affect the whole cell. Dysfunctional nucleus' can also cause muscular dystrophy, dilated cardiomyopathy, (premature) aging, and cancer, heart failure.
The nucleus being "brain" of the cell, could have one small error and kill the whole cell. Is there such a thing as too much power, YES! I wouldn't want someone having that much control and power as my president of Celltopia! #powerforthepeople#votemitochondria#organellewars

@cell_prez isn't present in humans and animals because as these high life forms evolved, the cell wall became unnecessary. Even when cell walls are present they're prone to damage causing infections or cell death. Doesn’t sound reliable or useful for celltopia as a whole ☹️
@cell_prez Mitochondrial disease is rare only occurring in 1/5,000 people. Mitochondria enable cells to produce 15 times more ATP than anaerobic respiration. Without the Mitochondria, higher forms of life would not be able to exist. Sounds hardworking to me! #organellewars#powerhousepres
