CRYING AT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BETWEEN BTS AND YOONGI, EVERYONE TAKING PICS OF THE FOOD MEANWHILE YOONGI JUST WANTED TO EAT... THE WAY IM BOTH OF THEM๐ญ๐ญ
[Billboard] GRAMMYs has always stressed that Awards and nominations are not and should not be based on commercial success. Still, an artist posting those numbers should not be asking to be let in; theyโre already here and should be allowed to take up as much space as theyโve earned โ regardless of perceived public acknowledgment.
BTS is not turning down recognition. They are turning down a version of recognition they think is smaller than the one their year has already earned, and doing so at the moment that could certainly deliver the trophy they spent so many years chasing. As noted above, โSWIMโ would not be eligible in the Asian pop category, but such album standouts as โHooligan,โ โ2.0,โ โAliensโ and โBody to Bodyโ โ the last of which reinterprets the Korean folk song the LP is named after โ are easily Grammy-worthy, and BTSโ name recognition alone could have led to the Academy giving them their first trophy. Future releases and solo projects could likely produce several more. But BTS has never been one to rest on past accomplishments, and ARIRANG is a specifically globally focused record that brought in a wave of new collaborators to shake up the formula that had already earned them six No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 and six No. 1 singles on the Hot 100; with ARIRANGโs release, their total on both tallies is up to seven.
RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook may not have a better shot at their first group Grammy than the one they just declined. But they seemed to have withdrawn because the alternative was more than likely to win in a way that would confirm a premise they have spent their entire careers disproving: that their music is a regional variant or an alternative to the mainstream rather than part of general pop culture itself.
#BTS have seen this movie before and they know how it ends, but this time theyโre leaving before the finale and telling everyone why on the way out.

PATHETIC! The Grammys just deleted a reel from months ago after being exposed where they talked about the new Asian category and the globalization of Asian music, but the most ironic is they just ignored and omitted any mention of BTS, as if they had never existedโwhen it was precisely them who are true pioneers of that global expansion.
This isnโt just a casual omission: itโs erasing from the conversation the very artists who actually drove that change.
The Grammys continue to be exposed as fake and hypocritical! How ridiculous they are!
- Zeena Koda and Frankie Yaptinchay are who spoke in the video, and Zeena is the same person who talked about BTS a few days ago! Hypocrites!

"Most artists you interact with are children they're people who got money when they were young or came from money. BTS, on the other hand, are completely professional, completely straight-focused, and always working."
Grammy committee members crashing out PUBLICLY over BTS decision before deleting. The comittee being exposed for lying, shocking incompetence and erasure to Asian countries. Major media all around the world reporting about BTS' decision. Artists celebrities creators and businesses praising BTS' decision. Journalists supporting them. Even in tv hosts and presenters criticizing grammys. Other marginalized communities engaging and blowing up the public discussion even further. Kpop companies acting in panic. The industry behaving as if BTS stole something from them.
They said nobody will care. Meanwhile BTS caused upheaval so huge that even we didn't anticipate.
They tried to say BTS is irrelevant when everything happening for the past 3 days proves that they might be the most relevant artist in the world right now.
